The delivery of the air supply system includes the 5-pin shunt relay, double valve, the compressor bracket. You can find the relay to be replaced in the spare wheel well in the trunk on the right at position K1 of your vehicle. The air supply system is located under the rear near the bumper in the central position.

Before installing the Aerosus air suspension compressor, please check the entire system for leaks and eliminate them if necessary. If even one air spring is leaking, this will certainly result in another compressor runtime error. Furthermore, the included shunt relay must always be replaced when changing the compressor.

Although compressors are considered to be extremely robust, it can happen that over time they no longer produce the required pressure. You have to remove it and replace it with a new component. The wear of an original BMW compressor can be significantly accelerated: whenever there is a leak in the air suspension system or the level control has failed. You can recognize a defect in the air suspension on the basis of the following features: the compressor runs too long, the vehicle lowers on one side at the rear and is crooked or the level control does not pump up.
